In 24 Years: The Music of Lili Boulanger
by Marissa Kerbel
Lili Boulanger, perhaps best known for her affiliation with her sister Nadia, was the first woman to win the Prix de Rome. Had she not tragically died at the young age of 24, she would likely have become one of the most prolific composers of the 20th century. Her life is a reminder that it is always worth putting your art in the world, regardless of one's age or perceived professional standing.
